Almighty and everlasting God, by whose Spirit the whole body of the Church is sanctified and governed, mercifully hear our humble supplications for all bishops, priests and deacons; that by the gift of your grace, all, in their various appointments, may faithfully serve you and have the strength to be firm witnesses of the Gospel to the world. Amen.
On October 1, 2020 at the Altar of the Chair in St. Peter's Basilica, eight members of the Class of 2021 were ordained to the diaconate. Seminarian John Pankratz, Diocese of Great Falls-Blgs. was among them.
God willing, he will be ordained to the Priesthood on June 24, 2021 at St. Patrick Co-Cathedral. He will celebrate a first Mass at St. Pius X, on June 25, 2021.
May God who has begun this great work in Deacon John Pankratz, bring it to fulfilment.
These men represent the future of the Catholic Church. Their voices will proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the words of absolution, the words of consecration. Their hands will be anointing us, blessing us, baptizing our children and grandchildren, and raising the Host over our bowed heads. They will extend the priesthood of Jesus Christ and the saving power of His Sacrifice in the world for the next generations.
Seminarian Matthew Solarz
Our newest seminarian has completed the Rite of Admission to Candidacy for Holy Orders. This marks the point when the seminarian publicly declares his commitment to enter final preparation for service to the people of God as an ordained Priest in the Church.
