Billings Catholic Radio is pleased to announce an event that is centuries in the making- The Man of the Shroud, a presentation on the Shroud of Turin. We've invited well known Shroud expert, Jim Bertrand, to bring a replica of the Shroud as well as a one hour presentation to Billings so you can see for yourself one of the most studied artifacts in the world. If indeed the Shroud of Turin is the historic burial cloth of Jesus, then it would be not only a relic/icon, but also an archaeological site of where Christianity was born. It could offer the possibility of studying scientifically the physical and historical aspects of what happened in the Tomb of Christ, something that would be of great interest to both Christians and non-Christians alike.

Jim Bertrand has been on the road sharing the message of the Holy Shroud across eight states. Being a science teacher for the past 38 years, he has a keen interest in the Shroud of Turin. He was the first member of The American Confraternity of the Holy Shroud to receive certification as a qualified presenter on the Holy Shroud. His presentation is a summary of the widely acclaimed book, The Shroud of Turin, A Critical Summary, by Dr. John P. Jackson of Colorado Springs. For those who don't have the time to read through 50 years of research, his presentation lays this out in a highly organized way so that people can evaluate the scientific findings on the Shroud and come to their own reasoned judgement regarding its authenticity.
